Simulation based on the NC code
Many simulations only check the toolpath inside the CAM system. With hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining, the NC code actually output is simulated on a machine model – including kinematics, workholding and tool holders. This also reveals problems that only arise in the post processor.
What gets checked
- Collisions between tool, holder, spindle head, part and workholding
- Axis limits and limit switches
- Remaining stock and gouges
- Cycle time and unnecessary rapid moves
The result for your production
Less prove-out time, less risk for spindle and part, and more confidence in programs you did not write yourself.
A full machine simulation requires a model of your machine. [Clarify with Mario: VIRTUAL Machining license scope / available machine models]
